PR Tip: Think 'inside' the box

Sometimes the biggest ideas come inside small packages -- and in miniature! If you've ever ordered a pizza delivery, chances are you received your pie with a little plastic pizza-saver. It's usually a relatively flimsy piece of plastic that is used to prevent the top of the box from collapsing in at the center and touching the yummy cheese inside. Most of us think of it as a little pizza table. A Canadian restaurant chain called Boston Pizza decided to add tiny plastic chairs and call it a Pizza Patio Set.

The tiny seats, a big initiative by Boston Pizza Canada and advertising agency John St., featured scaled-down reproductions of actual furniture sets and have been 3D-printed using food safe materials.

The comical design delivered smiles across select locations in Canada and served up sizable press to the restaurant chain. It's the second time the duo has collaborated on a creative pizza campaign. They previously created a box that turned into a tray so people could enjoy pizza in bed.

Outlets from AdAge to Designboom, to Delish, and countless others were quick to take notice.

Makes one stop and think about all the little things we use on a daily basis...  maybe you've already stumbled upon the next headline grabbing promotion and you don't even know it?

We bet you'll never look at that little plastic table the same way again.
