By now, most of you have heard of the B&Bs for Vets program. If you haven’t, it’s a campaign where bed and breakfasts across the globe team up to say “thank you” to military personnel who are presently serving or who previously served the United States and Canada and offering a complimentary stay over Veterans Day weekend.
The B&Bs for Vets program is a great initiative with a lot of heart. It’s also an incredible opportunity for well-deserved press because there’s strength in numbers. Hundreds of inns and B&Bs come together each year to make this happen, which makes this the largest known effort within the lodging industry to honor active military and veterans. And that takes this from a good idea, or a B&B doing a great thing, to an industry making waves.
If you’re not enrolled in the program, you still have a small window of time. And with more Veterans’ stories about to hit the news, you might be in the nick of time. So far this year, the media has included notable press like CBS Radio Connecting Vets, Military Officers Association of America, TravelPulse.com, etc.
